Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to enact an informed consent for vaccinations law.
The Department anticipates no fiscal impact from this proposed Legislation.
This bill allows for the appropriate regulatory board or the Department to impose and collect fines on health care practitioners found to be in violation of patients' rights with regard to informed consent. The Department cannot forecast a cost/benefit on assumptive violations. Current regulatory and investigation processes and staff would be utilized, with fines offsetting costs.
