A BILL to amend and reenact §16-5Q-3 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to continuation of the James "Tiger" Morton Catastrophic Illness Commission.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That §16-5Q-3 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 5Q. THE JAMES "TIGER" MORTON CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS FUND.

§16-5Q-3. Continuation of the Catastrophic Illness Commission.
The Catastrophic Illness Commission shall continue to exist, pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, until the first day of July, two thousand five eight, pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, unless sooner terminated, continued or reestablished pursuant to the provisions of that article by Act of the Legislature.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue
the James "Tiger" Morton Catastrophic Illness Commission until July 1, 2008, pursuant to the West Virginia Sunset Law.

This bill was recommended for passage by the Joint Committee on Government Operations.
