A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §22-1-13a, relating to allowing access to the Department of Environmental Protection’s electronic submission system by all persons, as well as multiple persons involved in the submission of a specific application or other project by those persons involved in the project.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 1. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.


§22-1-13a. Electronic submission system.

The secretary shall maintain an electronic submission system for the preparation, delivery, review, correction, approval, and publication of permit application data under this chapter, using web-based technologies to integrate industry, regulators and the public with a common interface. The system shall allow access by individuals as well as other persons, as defined in §2-2-10 of this code. Access given to a person other than an individual shall allow access to the system by multiple individuals authorized by the person. The secretary shall also allow access on a project specific basis by multiple persons involved in the application or other project.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to allow access to the Department of Environmental Protection’s electronic submission system by all persons, as well as multiple persons involved in the submission of a specific application or other project by those persons involved in the project.
