A BILL to amend and reenact §20-2-19 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to marking traps with a Division of Natural Resources identification number.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.

§20-2-19. Marking of traps.


All traps used for taking game or fur-bearing animals shall be marked with a durable plate or tag, attached to the snare, trap, or trap chain, bearing: (1) The name and address of the owner of the trap; or (2) the trapper’s Division of Natural Resources identification number.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources identification tag to be used to identify a trap.
