A BILL to amend and reenact article 6, chapter 64 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Division of Corrections to promulgate a legislative rule relating to the recording of inmate telephone calls.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That article 6, chapter 64 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:

ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS AND

PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-6-1. Division of Corrections.
The legislative rule filed in the state register on the sixteenth day of June, two thousand nine, authorized under the authority of section seventeen, article one, chapter twenty-five, of this code, modified by the Division of Corrections to meet the objections of the legislative rule-making review committee and refiled in the state register on the twenty-second day of July, two thousand nine, relating to the Division of Corrections (recording of inmate telephone calls, 90 CSR 5), is authorized.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Division of Corrections to promulgate a legislative rule relating to the Standards for the Recording of Inmate Telephone Calls.
