A BILL supplementing, amending line items and transferring between items of the existing appropriations of Lottery Net Profits from the balance of moneys remaining as an unappropriated balance in Lottery Net Profits to the Bureau of Senior Services - Lottery Senior Citizens Fund, fund 5405, fiscal year 2016, to line 15a, dedicated to the Greater Weirton Area Senior Center, by supplementing, amending and transferring the appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016.

Whereas, The Governor submitted the Executive Budget Document to the Legislature on January 13, 2016, which included a Statement of the Lottery Fund setting forth therein the unappropriated cash balance as of July 1, 2015, and further included the estimate of revenues for the fiscal year 2016, less regular appropriations for fiscal year 2016; and

Whereas, It appears from the Governor’s Statement of the Lottery Fund, there now remains an unappropriated balance in the State Treasury which is available for appropriation during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016; and

Whereas, It appears that there is a need for funding the Greater Weirton Area Senior Center; therefore

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the total appropriation for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, to fund 5405, fiscal year 2016, be supplemented and amended by adding line item 15a dedicated to the Greater Weirton Area Senior Center and increasing an existing item of appropriation as follows:

The amounts as itemized for expenditure during the fiscal year 2016 shall be made available for expenditure upon the effective date of this bill.

NOTE: The purpose of this supplemental appropriation bill is to supplement, amend, add a line item, 15a, designated to the Greater Weirton Area Senior Center and increase an item of appropriation in the amount of $50,000 in the aforesaid account for the designated spending unit for expenditure during the fiscal year 2016.
