A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new article, designated §18B-20-1, relating to permitting any hospital, or a state college and university, that establishes a two-year registered professional nurse’s program to be eligible for grant funding under the WV Invests Grant Program.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


Article 20. Eligibility of hospital, or college and university certified nurse programs for WV Invests Grant Program.

§18B-20-1. Hospital, or college and university training program for certified nurses eligible for WV Invests Grant Program funding.

Notwithstanding any code provision to the contrary, any hospital, as defined in §16-5B-1 et seq. of the code, or any state college and university, as defined in §18B-1-2(26) of this code, that establishes a two year career ready training program for registered professional nurses, as used in §30-7-1 et seq. of this code, is eligible for funding pursuant to §18C-9-4 of this code.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to permit any state hospital or state college and university to establish a career ready registered professional nurse program to receive funding from the WV Invests Grant Program.
