A BILL to amend the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated
§33-4-21
, relating to
prohibiting insurers from using credit reports to raise
insurance rates.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated
§33-4-21,
to read as
follows:
§33-4-21. Use of credit reports to raise insurance rates
prohibited.
An insurer may not use credit reports to raise the insurance
rates of customers.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit insurers from
using credit reports to raise insurance rates.
