A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-2-16, relating to allowing a teacher to bank sick leave or personal leave days to the following academic year.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

ARTICLE 2. SCHOOL PERSONNEL.

§18A-2-16. Option to bank sick leave or personal leave days to the following year.

Any unused sick leave or personal leave by a public school instructor in this state may be carried over to the next academic year.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to allow teachers to bank any unused sick leave or personal leave to the next academic year.
