A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18A-2-1b, relating to requiring school bus aides, who are trained to prevent bullying and to provide a safe environment for the students while being transported on a school bus, to be present on school buses.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

article 2. school personnel.

§18A-2-1b. Additional employment of personnel; school bus aides.

Each county board is required to have school bus aides, who are trained to prevent bullying and to provide a safe environment for the students while on a school bus, and be present on school buses whenever students are being transported on those buses.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require school bus aides, who are trained to prevent bullying and to provide a safe environment for the students while being transported on a school bus, to be present on school buses.
