A BILL to amend the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated as §24F-1-7,
relating to prohibiting political subdivisions from selling
memorials, monuments or markers except those for which a
regulatory agency has established a price therefor.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §24F-1-7, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 1. VETERANS' GRAVE MARKERS.
§24F-1-7. Prohibiting political subdivisions from selling certain
memorials, markers and monuments.
No political subdivision of the state may sell in
competition with privately owned enterprises any memorials,
markers or monuments except those for which a regulatory agency
of the state has approved and established a price therefor.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit political
subdivisions from selling certain memorials, markers or monuments
in competition with privately owned enterprises.
