A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, byadding thereto a new article, designated §16-2L-1, relating to requiring that fetal models be displayed in public schools.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new article, designated §16-2L-1, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 2L. FETAL MODELS REQUIRED IN SCHOOLS.

§16-2L-1. Fetal models required in schools.

Each secondary and middle school in the State of West Virginia shall display, in a curriculum relevant course, a set of fetal models that depict the size and appearance of an unborn child in the womb in at least five stages of development. The fetal models shall be displayed for at least two one-month periods during each school year, one of these months ending before December 15, and the
other month beginning after January 15 in the following calendar year. The fetal models may be shared between schools if display requirements can still be met.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require that fetal models be displayed in schools.
