A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §17-16A-13a
, relating
to exempting motor vehicles in funeral processions from the
requirement to pay tolls on parkway projects; and providing
that the exemption only applies when a motor vehicle clearly
displays a flag, emblem or other visible designation
indicating it is part of a funeral procession.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-16A-13a
,
to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 16A. WEST VIRGINIA PARKWAYS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND
TOURISM AUTHORITY.
§17-16A-13a. Funeral processions exempt from the collection of
tolls.
Funeral processions are exempt from the collection of any toll
on any parkway project: Provided, That this exemption applies only
to motor vehicles clearly displaying flags, emblems or other
visible designation
indicating the motor vehicles are part of the
funeral procession.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to exempt motor vehicles in
funeral processions from the requirement to pay tolls on parkway
projects, while providing that the exemption only applies when a
motor vehicle clearly displays a flag, emblem or other visible
designation indicating it is part of a funeral procession.
This section is new; therefore, strike-throughs and
