Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):

Based upon data collected during October through November 2004, charging $10.00 for each fingerprinting service provided by the WV State Police would generate new revenue of $175,000 per year.
    61-7-4 (g)
Last fiscal year, the WV State Police collected $152,475 for concealed weapon permits. If an equivalent number of permits are issued in subsequent years, it is estimated that increasing the current fee from $15.00 to $30.00 per permit would generate approximately an additional $150,000 per year.
Collectively, these two changes will generate an additional $325,000 per year for the general revenue fund.

Under 15.2.24a, it states that the WV State Police "shall collect a fee of ten dollars for performing adult private employment fingerprinting".
The word "private" should be struck since the fee encompasses all fingerprinting - both private and public. Including the word "private" would, in the agencies opinion, reduce the revenue considerably. Sufficient data does not exist to estimate the reduction.
