Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The estimated cost to the State under the Public School Support Program (PSSP) for the proposed increase in the service personnel educational increments is $1,276,857. This total includes estimated increases in Step 2 (salaries) of $938,176, Step 3 (fixed costs) of $80,683, Step 6 (current expense/substitutes) of $117,272 and retirement of $140,726.
The estimated cost could vary annually based on the educational level of the service personnel employed by the county boards of education.
