Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
As submitted in our fiscal note on 5/12/2014, this rule will have no impact on costs and revenues of state government because the Practice Agreement fee combined with the Physician Assistant License issue is fiscally neutral. No increase in cost or revenue is anticipated.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This rule is already in effect by emergency rule, signed by the Governor in June 2014. Prior to that emergency rule, the costs for a Physician Assistant to apply for a license, prescriptive authority and applying to change a supervising physician amounted to $200. The emergency rule and, now HB 2299, recommend the consolidation of those licensing processes into one application for licensure at $100 and a Practice Agreement at a cost of $100. The original $200 fee does not increase or decrease.
