HB2389 grants every state employee and all school personnel (and all retirees) a $1,000 pay raise effective 7/1/2015. Note: this fiscal note only estimates costs associated with active state employees and active school personnel. The Retirement Board will provide costs associated with retirees.

State Employees - as of 12/31/14 there were 41,636.68 FTE positions. Pay raise costs are calculated assuming 22.15% in employee benefits costs. General Revenue costs $20,966,000 All other Funding sources costs $29,893,000 School Personnel - number of employees funded in the school aid formula - 20,333.91 professional educators, 869.08 student support personnel, 12,532.15 service personnel. General Revenue costs $45,038,000 County costs of student support personnel $1,183,000 Total Costs: General Revenue $66,004,000 All other Funding sources $31,076,000 Total $97,080,000
