Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
There is no financial impact on the State of West Virginia as the result of the proposed legislation. Any potential financial impact would be on the county boards of education. However, there is insufficient data to determine what potential additional costs or cost savings (primarily related to workers compensation) would apply to the county boards of education.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
WVDE is unable to estimate the number of service personnel physically unable to perform their regular job duties as the result of a work-related injury or illness but able to perform duties in another classification instead of returning to their regular classification on a light duty basis. It is presumed that this would impact a small number of personnel statewide each year.
