Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Current Expense: The $9,604 in current expenses are estimated as follows: office supplies and materials, $2,500; travel and related expenses for council members to attend 4 quarterly meetings of the council, $7,104. The cost of administrative staff to support the objectives of the council will be absorbed by existing staff of the Department. It is the expectation that gifts, grants or bequests secured by the Department will support the work of the Advisory Council. Potential revenue sources are unknown at this time to calculate a revenue projection, but as the commission gets started any revenues would be used to support the commission.
Members of this advisory council are to serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary expenditures incurred in the performance of their duties.
