Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill appears to permit retail liquor outlets to operate on Sunday either between 1pm and 1 am or 10 am and 1 am, if the county had adopted a county wide voter referendum for "on-premises" sales in
W. Va. Code section 7-1-3pp.
This bill fails technically and structurally with respect to permitting retail liquor outlets to conduct "off-premises" sales on Sunday at 10 am.
The bill fails technically and structurally with respect to Sunday "cut off time" as this section is in conflict with the hours of operation code section already in code.
Further the bill purports to change the private clubs hours of operation
Both attempts in the bill to change hours of operation could possibly have a possible positive and then also a possible negative fiscal impact on the revenues.
