Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The provisions of HB 4032 would dock the pay of any member of the Legislature for missing an entire floor session during the 60-day regular session. As introduced, the bill would require that 1/60th of members’ pay (or $333.33) be withheld for each day that he or she misses an entire floor session. The bill provides one exception for members whose absence is attributable to a conference committee meeting.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


The provisions of HB 4032 would dock the pay of any member of the Legislature for missing an entire floor session during the 60-day regular session. As introduced, the bill would require that 1/60th of members’ pay (or $333.33) be withheld for each day that he or she misses an entire floor session. The bill provides one exception for members whose absence is attributable to a conference committee meeting.
