Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


As indicated, "the purpose of this bill is to provide that amounts of court costs collected under the Second Chance Driver’s License Program attributable to crime victim restitution are not subject to the five percent offset for use by the Director of the Division of Justice and Community Services (DJCS) in the administration of the program." Their would be no Fiscal Impact to the Division of Justice and Community Services as a result of the proposed language, because there is currently no statutory authorization to do so.
