Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The purpose of this bill is to permit individuals to voluntarily contribute to the West Virginia State Police Forensic Laboratory Fund. The Division would incur start-up costs of approximately $7,000 to modify the Cash Register System, approximately $22,000 to modify DMV forms, $120 to modify third party vendor forms, and $53 to modify internal accounting records. Expenses, equaling 5% of revenue received, would be incurred to receive and process the transactions.
