Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to allow persons renewing their driver’s license or vehicle registration to make donations to the West Virginia 4 H foundation, the West Virginia Farm Bureau Foundation, and the West Virginia Future Farmers of America Educational Foundation in increments of $3, $5, or $10.
The Division would incur start-up costs of approximately $7,000 to modify the Cash Register system, approximately $22,000 to modify DMV forms, and $120 to modify third party vendor forms.
Expenses, equaling 5% of revenue received, would be incurred to receive and process the transactions.
