The purpose of this bill is to establish an office within the Office of the Governor to coordinate workforce development, job training, education, and related programs and initiatives across agencies and entities to continue to grow West Virginia’s workforce and to provide greater options for West Virginians seeking work and West Virginia businesses seeking employees.
The West Virginia Workforce Resiliency Office to be set up as a new appropriation under fund 0101 will increase the General Revenue Fund.

Please explain increases and decreases in personal services, current expenses, repairs and alterations, assets, other costs and revenues, including assumptions and data sources and delineation between start-up and ongoing costs. Implementation of this bill will cause an increase in general revenue expenditures for the cost of establishing this office with a Director and Coordinator position along with equipment necessary to set up an office.
