The proposed legislation would increase the salary for the State Treasurer from $95,000 to $140,000. The increased cost is set out below, including the cost of additional benefits.
The increased salary represents a $45,000 increase. Additionally, the State Treasurer's Office estimates an additional $16,650 in additional benefits, as well.
