The bill's stated purpose is to prohibit the sale of vapes and vape products to underage children due to the risks of EVALI (E-cigarette or Vaping Products Use-Associated Lung Injury).
The bill sets forth various definitions, sets requirements for the sale of products, sets age restrictions for sale of products, sets criminal penalties, authorizes the alcohol beverage control commissioner to promulgate rules for education classes, diversion programs and community service for those found guilty of violating the sale provisions.
