Memorandum


House Bill 5242, if enacted, prohibits an insurer from declining or limiting coverage on a person under any life insurance policy, major medical coverage policy, disability insurance policy, or long-term care insurance policy solely due to the status of that person as a living organ donor. HB5242 would have no fiscal impact on the WV Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
