Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
"The proposed legislation will not generate revenue for the state, as background check fees are paid directly to IDEMIA by the individual or business requesting the service. Additionally, there are no anticipated implementation costs, as the agency will simply serve as a pass-through for the process and does not require additional personnel or tracking systems. Although any costs would be paid by the applicant or the business requesting the service, there should be no cost associated with this bill by the agency.
