This legislation does not have any fiscal impact on the WVDE because the allocated FTE would simply follow the student transferring from public school to microschool.
Memorandum
Currently, W.Va. Code ยง18-8-1(n) does not allow the WVDE to register or even know where microschools exist in the State; therefore, the Hope Scholarship Program administrators should be responsible for verifying the existence of a microschool.
