Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This legislation, in its current form, does not have any fiscal impact on the WVDE. However, requiring cameras to be installed in all classrooms and other areas where students may be present, would be borne by various county boards of education. WVDE lacks the data to formulate an accurate cost estimate because camera placement in schools not only varies county by county, but even from school to school within a county.
