Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to remove compensation for the director of the Human Rights Commissioner and add compensation for the Cannabis Commissioner.
The Department anticipates no fiscal impact related to this legislation as the Executive Director position still exists as this legislation does not eliminate the position created in Chapter 5, Article 11 of the WV Code.
No costs are associated with the salary for the Cannabis Commissioner as it is assumed that it only applies if the program is transferred to the Department of Agriculture.
