Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The legislation would create a revolving fund into which the State Treasurer may transfer moneys from the Unclaimed Property Fund to finance National Guard expenditures. These funds would then ultimately be reimbursed pursuant to a cooperative agreement, grant, or other legal agreement with the federal government.
No general revenue monies are involved with the legislation. All monies transferred out of the Unclaimed Property Fund will ultimately be reimbursed by the National Guard. Therefore, there is no cost for the legislation.
