Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Over the past eight fiscal years the Office of Miners Health, Safety and Training has collected a total of approximately $11,043,000 in that eight year time frame which would average to about $1,380,000 each year on less revenue to the agency.
Memorandum
Fund 3355 has four filled positions for a total of $218,841 and two vacant that total $115,524 (estimated as that can change as the positions are filled) while the agency's General Revenue has vacancies budgeted at $1,042,188 so the agency should be able to absorb that those positions into their current General Revenue budget. The existing cash balance in Fund 3355 should remain with the agency in order to purchase vehicles and do other one-time expenses until the funds is depleted.
