The purpose of this bill is to create a tip line for the DHHR to respond to tips of food insecurity. The fiscal impact for this bill would be $172,294 ($98,208 state funds and $74,806 federal) for three HHR Specialist Senior positions, which includes personal services and employee benefits

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


The average salary for the HHR Specialist Senior is $43,181 making the total personal services $129,543 ($43,181*3) and employee benefits $14,250 (43,181*33%) totaling $172,294.



Memorandum


The Department would need to determine where the calls would be funneling in from to report the food insecurity. These positions would be housed in the Office of Client Services.
