Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The production data for 2022 indicates that there were 74,586 unplugged wells, which would raise $7,458,600 per year. Passage of this bill would allow the Office of Oil and Gas to bring back the 9 field staff which were part of the staff reduction in 2020 due to revenue issues. It would also shore up the budget for the Office of Oil and Gas.
