Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
As the bill proposes to prohibit land purchases for farmland protection purposes at a county level, there will be no impact to the expenses and revenues of state government.
Memorandum
County Commissions currently have the discretion, based upon a vote, to amend local land protection programs to prohibit the purchase of land.
