Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill increases the statutory salaries for magistrate court employees. However, the salaries in the bill are less than the current pay rates for the positions due to historical across-the-board pay raises. Therefore, there is no increase in personal services as it relates to the increase in statutory salaries.

This bill also allows for the appointment of additional magistrate court employees as needed.
