Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill increases the number of magistrates by one, from 159 to 160. This would also require the addition of a Magistrate Assistant.
The increase in personal services (including payroll taxes and benefits) would be $151,941 (Magistrate $85,496 + Magistrate Assistant $66,445).
The increase in current expenses reflects the purchase of computer, printer/scanner, office supplies, and travel costs for conferences.
