Memorandum
Currently, there are multiple pathways through the WVDE available for military veterans who hold a bachelor’s degree to obtain a teacher certification. Additional information regarding this issues can be found at TeachWV.com. The provisions of this legislation provides that retired armed forces officers or staff non-commissioned officers are not required to hold a bachelor’s degree or complete any additional coursework or program to be certified as a teacher in a WV classroom.
