The election of paid members of a police department or retirees receiving benefits from a policemen's pension and relief fund to be on the Board of Trustees of the Policemen's Pension and Relief Fund of (name of municipality) does not impact any state funds. Elections are carried out in the manner allowed in section 18, article 22, chapter 8 of the West Virginia Code by the then members of the municipal paid police department.
