    The impact on other government agencies will be an increase in their wireless phone bills. The impact, cannot be ascertained at this time since it will depend on the location of each governmental agency and the amount of additional E911 assessment enacted by each county.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):



    This bill will require additional reporting requirements by wireless carriers. Carriers will be required to bill and collect county-specific E911 fees from their customers and report the amount collected from customers in each county to the PSC. We assume that the carriers will bill county-specific fees based on the billing address for each customer. The PSC will be required to establish new reporting requirements for wireless carriers and distribute the additional wireless E911 fees collected to counties based on the reported customer locations. This will be done with a de minimis impact on the costs of the PSC.
