Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to clarify that the Public Employees Insurance Agency and any plan it establishes or administers is exempt from Chapter 33, except where those provisions are made expressly applicable.
PEIA anticipates a positive fiscal impact by preventing unwarranted litigation, however there is insufficient data to calculate the amount of the future impact. The level of fiscal impact is indeterminate at this time.
