Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Memorandum
HB2176 would limit the use of credit scoring to banking institution credit scoring for casualty insurance rate filings and prohibit the use of credit scoring as a consideration in calculating insurance rates in homeowners and automobile liability insurance policies.
HB2176 would not impact the regulatory responsibilities of the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner and therefore would not impact the revenues or expenses related to those responsibilities.
