Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The bill would allow the proceeds of the sale of vehicles by the State Agency for Surplus Property to be deposited into another account designated by the agency that owned the vehicle when the account the purchase was originally made from no longer exists.
The Cabinet Secretary's Office would not be affected by this bill, as it has no vehicles. However, some of our 15 sub-agencies do have vehicles, and some of those might be old enough that the fund the purchase was originally made from no longer exists. Therefore, the bill could potentially have a slight increase in funds deposited to those agencies. The amount of that potential increase is unknown, but would be fairly small.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The Department of Administration and its 15 sub-agencies could have vehicles purchased from a fund that no longer exists, but the number of those vehicles would likely be very low. In depth analysis and research in OASIS would identify those vehicles, if any.
