The funds requested from FY 2020 are the start-up costs of this initiative. These general revenue funds would be utilized on software licensing, professional services, standardization, configuration, customization, best practice preventions protections, proactive monitoring, training, and outreach. The on-going costs in column three continue the processes established under the start-up costs; however, the funding model changes from General Revenue to Special Revenue. These services would then be incorporated into the Office of Technology’s chargeback model. Also including in the on-going expenses are 8 fulltime employees hired by the Office of Technology, assigned to each Executive Branch Department, and charged back to the respective Department. Primary responsibilities include providing cyber risk management services to the department and sub-agencies, as well as, additional Information Security Officers needed to support on-going security initiatives.
