The proposed legislation is authorizing legislation to allow for a competitive grant program to implement vocational-technical education programs for middle school grades. The estimated cost to the State for the proposed legislation would be determined by the Legislature based on the amount of funding appropriated for the purpose of issuing the grants. The State Board would utilize existing staff resources to establish the program and promulgate the required rules.
