Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill will increase the cost of Personal Services by increasing salaries for magistrates, justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals, circuit judges, and family court judges. The salary increases in this bill are based on the 2019 recommendations of the Judicial Compensation Commission.
This fiscal note does not include any amount for the family court judges who may elect to participate in the Judge’s Retirement System (JRS). We are unable to calculate the potential cost of the conversion to JRS.
