Delegate Martin Hails Addition of 70 Jobs at Doss Enterprises

JANE LEW, W.Va. – Delegate Patrick Martin, R-Lewis, today praised Doss Enterprises for investing in an expansion that will create an additional 70 jobs with the Jane Lew company.

The excavation and site development company has announced it is seeking qualified applicants to fill 70 new long-term positions in a wide variety of areas, including equipment operators, CDL drivers, pipeline workers, mechanics, safety technicians, field supervisors, skilled laborers and clerical staff.

“I want to thank Doss Enterprises for investing in West Virginia and its workers,” Delegate Martin said. “This investment is the latest sign that our economy is improving, with job creators recognizing the positive changes we have made to improve our business climate.”

Doss Enterprises specializes in construction and development of well pads, compressor station pads, slip repair, road upgrades, poly pipeline, water truck hauling and soil stabilization. The company also prides itself on being an industry leader in safety.

Dwaine Doss founded the company in 1995 and has grown it from a small earth-moving and site development business to one of the largest excavation and development contractors in the region.

“This expansion shows our commitment to West Virginia and its future,” Doss said. “The reforms lawmakers have passed in recent years to improve our state’s business climate and promote the natural gas industry have given us the confidence to invest and expand in the state. We look forward to helping put more West Virginians back to work.”

The new positions will be based out of the company’s Jane Lew location, with work to be performed primarily in north central West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania. In addition to competitive wages, the company is offering a benefits package that includes health insurance and a 401(k) program.

“Doss Enterprises is a tremendous company, and I look forward to watching them expand and prosper,” Delegate Martin said. “Meanwhile, I hope their expansion shows other companies that West Virginia is truly a great place to do business and inspires them to invest here as well.”
