CHARLESTON, W.V. – Senate President Jeff Kessler (D-Marshall) received the annual Community Service Award Tuesday from the West Virginia Directors of Senior and Community Services Association.
Council on Aging Executive Director Jennifer Gibson says President Kessler was given the award for going above and beyond to make sure West Virginia’s senior citizens receive the service they need to improve their quality of life.
“I am very proud of the senior programs and services that are offered throughout the state of West Virginia,” says Kessler. “As the State’s aging population continues to grow, I vow to continue focusing on the changing needs of older West Virginians.”
Senate President Kessler says he is honored to receive the award and will continue to promote senior programs that promote health, dignity and independence.
